Mediation works great for settling small claims cases in Gray Harbors, Washington.

From July 1, 2007, to July 1, 2008, the first full year of mandatory mediation in small claims court, more than 300 cases were filed at the court. Only 22 went to trial. The rest were resolved through mediation.

A 40-hour intensive training designed to teach the skills needed to become a facilitative mediator. This training model uses the interest-based approach common in community dispute resolution.

The facilitative mediation model will give you the foundation needed to handle family issues, interpersonal dynamics, conflicts with neighbors, employers, merchants, landlords, care facilities, and schools.

This training meets the classroom requirement for certification through the Washington Mediation Association.
