Community Mediation Services

Community Mediation Services is a non-profit organization administering three major programs, the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP), the Teen & Parent Mediation Program (TPM), and the Visitation Mediation Program (VPM). These programs provide a way of helping people settle their differences peacefully.

Community Mediation Center

The Community Mediation Center was established in 1994 through the collaboration of the Knoxville Bar Association, Legal Aid of East Tennessee, the University of Tennessee College of Law, and the Knox County General Sessions Court.

Since that time, they have helped thousands of clients — individuals, parents, students, organizations, agencies, businesses — find satisfying solutions to difficult problems.

Course Title: Family Mediation Training

Course Description (according to the course provider)

Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Family Mediation Training is designed to prepare mediators to participate in court-approved mediation programs and to take court referred mediation cases.

This program is designed to teach mediators to facilitate communication which assists parties in identifying issues and reaching mutually acceptable agreements.
