This four-day, interactive workshop is designed to give participants a thorough understanding of the mediator’s role and the mediation process. This is accomplished through theory, skill-building exercises, role-plays, and videos.

Their goal is to further the profession of mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution by:
(1) Educating volunteer and compensated dispute resolution professionals with a broad spectrum of backgrounds (i.e. psychologists, non-attorneys, attorneys, medical professionals, teachers, clergy) by setting up intra-group discussions and speakers, and
(2) Educating the general business and neighborhood communities, stressing the benefits and obligations associated with alternative methods of dispute resolution.
ACR-DVC focuses on the Philadelphia, Camden and Wilmington areas.
