online mediation trainingCourse Title: Learn to Mediate by Email – Coaching for Face-to-Face Mediators

If you are an experienced face-to-face mediator interested to learn how to mediate by email, this Online Mediation Coaching is for you.

Hi, I’m Giuseppe Leone, the editor of this blog.

Step-by-step (and for only $90) I’ll show you how online mediation works and how it can make your mediation practice more effective and efficient. In particular, you’ll learn:

  • How online mediation benefits the parties
  • Why online mediation helps you and the parties make better decisions
  • Why the integration of face-to-face and online mediation produces more durable agreements

How It Works

My Online Mediation Coaching is 100% hands-on. You’ll learn how to mediate by email by actually doing it.

We’ll simulate a typical community (neighbor vs neighbor) dispute, and I’ll assist you throughout the online mediation process.

To begin with, we’ll discuss some strategic points, such as – pros and cons of sending your email messages to the parties separately or together, and pros and cons of sharing the parties’ responses.

As soon as you find two people willing to play the neighbors’ role in your simulation, I’ll email them their scripts and you can start mediating online.

From that point on, I’ll observe your online mediation by receiving a copy of each message you exchange with the parties. And I’ll answer (by email or by phone) any questions you may have on how to perform online the mediation tasks you are familiar with, like:

  • Making your opening statement
  • Giving parties the opportunity to vent their feelings
  • Discovering the parties’ issues, positions, needs and interests
  • Helping the parties develop options for resolving their case
  • Writing up the parties’ agreement
